Who we are:

We at the AEC provide an alternative education that focuses on practical skills like carpentry, mechanics, metalwork, bricklaying, horticulture, cooking, ICT, arts and crafts and more. Our goal is not just teaching skills but also improving behavior, boosting self-esteem, and fostering social and emotional maturity.

For those who need something different, the AEC is here. We aim to positively impact the lives of young people who are disengaged from traditional education. We offer employability skills and vocational AQA Units, helping them build self-awareness, confidence, and responsibility to re-engage in education or find work.

Our center is located on a farm on the border of Somerset and Devon in the beautiful Blackdown hills of the South West of England

We can help young people who:

 Struggle with mainstream education
 Need to develop practical and employability skills
Have learning difficulties or disabilities
Require a personalized work development program
Lack social skills, emotional literacy, and self-esteem
May be vulnerable or socially disadvantaged
Come from families facing barriers to education and employment
